Questions people ask first
What is Cuzo?
Cuzo is a budgeting app that also splits bills. You track what you spend, set budgets, and split shared costs with the people you live or travel with, and your share of anything shared counts in your own budget automatically.
What’s a Crew?
A Crew is a shared tab for a group of people, like your flat, a trip or you and a partner. Anyone in it can add what they paid, Cuzo splits it evenly, by shares or by exact amounts, and keeps a running balance of who owes whom.
Is Cuzo free?
Yes. Basic is free: expenses, budgets, recurring bills, Crews, Story of the Month and CSV import and export. The deeper Analyst reports come with a free first month, and every friend who joins with your link earns you both another month.
How much does Cuzo cost?
Basic is free, always. Analyst is $4.49 a month in US dollars, or ₹129 a month in India, and your first month is free. Accounts that use rupees pay the Indian price, with UPI AutoPay or a card; every other account pays in US dollars, with PayPal. Cancel any time in one tap, and you keep Analyst until the month you paid for ends.
What does Analyst add?
The reports. Cash Flow shows what came in and where it went. Trends shows what is creeping up, how each category moves over the year, and your year in review. Financial Health checks your progress, comparing your savings to your plan, and tells you the one thing worth changing first. On Basic, open Reports to see what Analyst would show you, built from your own spending.
Do my flatmates need to pay to split with me?
No. Crews are free on every plan. Your flatmates just need a free Cuzo account to join your Crew.
Do I need to connect my bank?
No. Cuzo works without a bank login. You log expenses yourself, which takes a few seconds, and recurring bills like rent add themselves.
How do I split rent with flatmates?
Start a Crew for your flat, invite your flatmates with a code, and add the rent as a recurring expense. Split it evenly, by shares, or by exact amounts if the rooms differ. To work out a fair split by room size first, use the free rent split calculator at cuzo.app/tools/rent-split.
Can I track UPI payments?
Yes. Log any payment the way you made it, UPI, card or cash, in a few seconds. In a Crew, add your UPI ID and your flatmates can pay you back from GPay, PhonePe or Paytm with the amount already filled in.
Does Cuzo work for couples?
Yes. Make a Crew for the two of you and split shared costs evenly, by shares, or by exact amounts. Only your share counts in your own budget, so your personal spending stays yours.
Which currencies does Cuzo support?
Indian rupees and US dollars. If you move, you can switch currency later and convert your history at the rate you choose.
Is there an app?
Apps for iPhone and Android are coming soon. Until then, Cuzo runs in your browser on any phone or computer, and on your phone you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
